2005 ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR NEW STUDENTS

SEPTEMBER 9 - 10, 2005

New Students Orientation Program was organised to give you an opportunity to get to know the University life, your department, METU administration, social and cultural services and all other new students. During the orientation program, there will be group leaders for each department to accompany you in all activities. As you will see on the next page, International Students will follow Group A program. In addition, at the end of first day of orientation program, there will be a get together for all new international students at 16:00 p.m. on 9 th of September in Cultural and Convention Center, Hall D with Prof. Dr. Nezih Güven, Assistant to the President on Student Affairs, Özgür Gelbal and Melissa Sezin Ergin, International Students' Advisors.

FIRST MEETING IN DEPARTMENTS

The orientation program will start on September 9, Friday at 09:30 at the specified places in your departments. You need to be in the meeting place at 09:15 . During department meetings, you will meet professors and assistants in your department and have chance to get more detailed information about your academic program. After the department meeting the orientation program will continue as presented on the next page. On the second day of the program you can either join your department or follow Group A program again.
