DOUBLE MAJOR AND MINOR PROGRAMS APPLICATIONS
(FALL 2006-2007)

 

APPLICATIONS: JUNE 05, 2006 – JULY 21, 2006

Application forms should be submitted to President's Office/ Base Floor/ Archives Office (Evrak ve Arşiv Müdürlüğü)

REQUIREMENTS:

DOUBLE MAJOR PROGRAMS 

a. Students may apply to the announced double major programs no earlier than the beginning of the third and no later than beginning of the fifth semesters of their current undergraduate program.

b. It should be provided that the credit courses of the student's current program are completed successfully. Courses with “W” grade are considered as not taken yet.

c. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of not less than 3.00.

d. Applicants should be in the top 20% of the class rank in the current major program.

(Students of Faculty of Education are not allowed to apply to double major programs.)

MINOR PROGRAMS

a. Students may apply to the announced minor programs no earlier than the beginning of the third semester and no later than beginning of the sixth semester of their current undergraduate program.

b. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50.

* The courses that have been taken in the Summer School are not taken into account for the applications in the following Fall Semester.

** Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements stated above will not be evaluated and informed about the results of their application.

*** Students are strictly recommended to carefully read the application instructions and catalog information of the programs being applied to.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1. Application Form (can be obtained from http://www.oidb.metu.edu.tr/english/form2ing.doc or Registrar's Office Building, Admissions Office). At most five preferences can be made (double major+minor programs). Students wishing to be considered for more than one program have to write all of the preferences on the application form and copy the form for each preference and pay seperate Students Copy Transcript Fee for each application.

2. Receipt of Student Copy Transcript Fee: 6 YTL for each application. Transcripts will be added by the Registrar's Office.
